Baste, with his shy and quiet demeanor, has garnered quite a following online in recent weeks, with clips featuring him singing or eating on a sidewalk in Davao City drawing hundreds of thousands of views on Facebook.
He has admitted to being wary about the spotlight that comes with being the son of the most powerful man in the country, and said that he would prefer to stay in Davao should his father assume the presidency.
